To increase agricultural productivity and hence rural household incomes through investment in infrastructure.

Objectives

Support to rural road improvement. Support to Sub county market structure improvement. Rural electrification of markets. Community mobilization and capacity building.

Performance in FY 2009/10

• 202 Infrastructure Management Committees formed and trained for the Community Access roads in the 41 districts of CAIIP – 2

Planned Outputs for FY 2010/11

• Rehabilitation of 1,455 km of community Access roads
